He was born as Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad on August 22, 1955, in Mogalthur, a small village in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Chiranjeevi began his career in the film industry in the late 1970s and quickly rose to prominence with his charismatic on-screen presence and dynamic performances. However, due to various reasons, the party did not perform well in subsequent elections, and Chiranjeevi merged the PRP with the Indian National Congress in 2011. He then served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of the Indian Parliament) from 2012 to 2014.
In 2017, Chiranjeevi made a comeback to acting with the film "Khaidi No. 150," which received a tremendous response from the audience. The film marked his 150th film and became a blockbuster hit. He continued to act in films and received critical acclaim for his performances in movies like "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy" and "Acharya."
Chiranjeevi has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including several Nandi Awards and Filmfare Awards South. In 2006, he was honored with the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
